Is believing in God a delusion?
Are all religions based on pure imagination?
Join us in this mind-provoking talk on how people of religion are able to believe and have faith in God, and how others do not.
Presenting this talk will be Dr Salman Butt, our very own Imperial College Alumnus and the current Chief Editor of islam21C.
Do Muslims believe in Jesus?
What is his status in Islam?
What was his relationship to Muhammad (ﷺ) ?
This ground-breaking talk will discuss the timeline of Islam and Christianity, and how they may or may not be related to each other.
Giving this talk is our guest speaker Idris Tawfiq, a former Roman Catholic Priest at the Vatican, who is currently a lecturer at the Al Azhar University in Cairo.
To round off Discover Islam Week, you’re invited to join us for some complimentary Middle-Eastern cuisine. Bring your friends and come on down!
Alongside the good food and great company, there will be a short speeches by a few students, as well as an open Q&A session with Shaikh Fraz – which is your chance to get your questions about Islam answered!
There you’ll be able to taste ‘Quranic’ foods, pick up literature on Islam, as well as interact with any of our friendly volunteers who will be more than happy to assist you with any questions or comments you may have.
These exhibitions give you easy access to ask any questions about Islam to our volunteers, and we hope to be able to answer them as best we could.
To anyone who’s passing by, feel free to say hello!
